‘well hello amazing-ness.. nice to meet you’
i was walking back to my car from the beach when a flurry of teal and curly furr caught my eye. oh no.. must divert.. dinner date in 10 min? .. ahhhggg.. can’t.. must say hello.
so i did.
jewel and her younger brother (name name name?!) had just come from a swim in the pacific and were totally enjoying rompish toweling off.
‘do you get requests for photos often?” i asked.
‘ALL the time… in fact you should have seen our other boy.. we had a guy chase us in his car for miles just to get a photo’, said a very proud papa.
‘well i can well see it.. they are glorious.’
we chatted a few minutes more, took more photos and then said our goodbyes.

i had to share a side by side.. it totally seems to sum up their personalities..what i know of them. the sweet silly floppy younger brother, and the sophistocated, inteligent, well behaved older sister.

i saw him waiting outside of food front (our little local organic co-op) he could not be swayed to look anywhere but where he last saw her. he sat very still with focused gaze and intent…
oh the choirs of angels he must have heard when she finally emerged unharmed from the store. ahh.. it’s good to have a human.
jack is 4 yrs old, one of the largest cockapoo’s i’ve ever met, and very very sweet.

coco | cute beach girl

‘oh dear…it’s cute’ i’m pretty sure that’s what slipped out my lips. then i stopped for a photo and a snuffle.
this is coco, she is a poodle-shih tzu-? (ummm…sorry.. my mind is a blank on the last bit.. but it’s something cute and fluffy…) she is two years old and loves loves loves her family.
she looks so scared in these photos… but it’s just the camera she’s a’feared of. when the camera was down she was all love and cuddles.

leeva | san francisco traveler

i noticed the waggy nub of a tail first….it swayed gently to and fro as the crowds walked past. then i saw her sweet grey muzzle and soul-filled eyes. oh yes, must stop to cuddle.
after a good batch of “ooo.. who-eees the cutest..bestest girl… *scritch*sritch*” i gave her the doggy biscuit she found in my pocket and asked if she wouldn’t mind a few photos. i’m not sure she really said yes, but she was gracious.
her parents were in having a sweet snack at ken’s artisan bakery, so i didn’t get to meet them or find out more about her, but her tag named her as leeva and the phone number as a local resident of the Bay Area.

kruger’s farm | ‘naked pink thingies’

one sunny day last week i felt the call of a lime popcicle + open fields. kruger’s farm on sauvie island answered that call. i meandered…munched and then found these cuties.
fully intent on food and frolic, they didn’t notice me taking their photos…. but once they did they were ever so curious.
i may have to rethink my bacon lust.

enter kitty marc jacobs…wardrobe appropriate stripped hoodie and all.
kitter (as his mum affectionately calls him) is 9 months old and hasn’t quite mastered the fine art of walking calmly on a leash.. but he’s trying..sort of. there are just so many fun things to see and sniff and pee on!

buddha | puggle in the park

this is buddha, he is a sweet, exceedingly calm (might i say zenlike) puggle. he was at he park with mum so that he might have a mid – afternoon ‘break’ before she went back to work.
enter tucker…a 9 wk old very happy puppy…

rav | great dane:mohawk and all

i saw her from across the way and our eyes met…how could i not go say hello!? impossible.
so i crossed the street into tibetanfox and met ‘rav’ … oh but she is stunning….and that little hawk down her nose? love.
i chatted with her pop, the owner of tibetanfox, while filling up on as much dane love as i could before i said my goodbyes.
it’s ok thou… i know where i can go to re-fill.
